LE SSERAFIM to join a series of year-end broadcasts in Japan, warming up before making a Japan debut
Girl group LE SSERAFIM received love calls from Japanese broadcasters ahead of their official debut in Japan.
LE SSERAFIM will meet fans through Japanese year-end broadcasts before releasing their debut single “FEARLESS” on Jan 25th, 2023.
LE SSERAFIM is scheduled to appear on Nihon TV’s “Release! Annual Music Awards for most streamed songs of 2022”. On the broadcast, the Yearly Chart ‘TOP 100’ of Apple Music, a major music site in Japan, will be released. Putting their name on the list of the awards ceremony lineup, the girl group proudly introduced themselves as a candidate for ‘TOP 100’.
LE SSERAFIM will then perform at the 73rd NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, Japan’s representative year-end program, on Dec 31st and boast their unrivaled presence and popularity.
On the 1st of January, the girl group will appear on the popular music show TBS “CDTV Live! Live! New Year Special! 2022 → 2023” to mark the end of this year and the beginning of next year.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM pre-released their Japanese debut single title track “FEARLESS -Japanese ver.-’ on Dec 15th. On the day of its release, the song topped the real-time rankings of local music sites, such as Rakuten Music and AWA.
LE SSERAFIM’s second mini album title track “ANTIFRAGILE” released on October 17th is still enjoying stable popularity. “ANTIFRAGILE” set its own new record by reaching No.19 on Japan’s Spotify “Weekly Top Song” (counting period Dec 2nd ~ Dec 8th), going up 4 spots from the previous week’s rank.
The song climbed back to re-enter Top 10 of Japan’s Oricon Weekly streaming chart at No.10 (Dec 12th) and No.9 (Dec 19th).
Among rookie girl groups that debuted this year, LE SSERAFIM has achieved overwhelming records in the Japanese market. Both their first mini album “FEARLESS” and second mini album “ANTIFRAGILE” dominated the top spot on the Combined Weekly Album Chart of Oricon. LE SSERAFIM also ranked 2nd on Yahoo Japan’s “Search Awards 2022” and was the only foreign artist to be nominated for Daesang.
