Anticipation for their Japanese debut heightened following the drop of the pre-released track.
LE SSERAFIM just released the title track “FEARLESS – Japanese version” at midnight (Korean Time) before the official release of their debut single “FEARLESS” in Japan on January 25 next year. The song topped the real-time charts at 2 a.m. on the Japanese music site Rakuten Music and AWA.
Their Japanese debut single contains a total of three songs, including the pre-released title tracks “FEARLESS” and “Blue Flame” (both in Japanese version) and a new song “Choice.” Earlier, LE SSERAFIM’s concept photos attracted attention for their empowering messages. While “WHITE BACCHARIS” version expresses the attempt to move beyond fear, “PINK MUSK” version shows the moment they are immersed in their favorite things without caring about how anyone else thinks. Moreover, fans are curious about what kind of song “Choice” will be.
LE SSEAFIM has enjoyed a particular popularity in Japan before their official debut in this country. Particularly, the group ranked second in the musician category of Yahoo Japan’s “Search Terms Awards 2022” announced on the 5th, and was the only overseas artist to be nominated for the grand prize. On the 31st, he will appear on NHK’s 73rd “Red and White Year-end Song Festival”, a well-known year-end broadcast in Japan.
The group also won two awards at the “2022 Asian Artist Awards IN JAPAN” held on the 13th, the “Rookie of the Year Award” and the “Best Musician Award.” They also took home a total of seven trophies at major Korean awards such as “2022 MAMA AWARDS” and “MMA 2022.”
