LE SSERAFIM suddenly dragged into IVE Jang Wonyoung and Leeseo’s lip-syncing controversy, here’s why
IVE fans criticize netizens for double standards towards IVE, especially Jang Wonyoung, out of jealousy.
IVE’s Jang Wonyoung and Leeseo recently came under fire for lip-syncing to IU’s “Strawberry Moon” while sitting and even barely opening their mouths at MBC’s year-end stage. The two and their company Starship Entertainment have received a lot of criticism and even went on KBS news for “deceiving the audience” with their performance.
Amid the controversy, on the online community Pann, a recent post has pointed out that another 4th gen girl group, LE SSERAFIM also lip-synced but was not criticized by netizens as badly as IVE. OP thinks that the public has double standards and is just jealous of Jang Wonyoung.

In response to the comparison between IVE and LE SSERAFIM, netizens claim that fans are blindly defending Jang Wonyoung and IVE. Idols lip-syncing is not new, but the case Jang Wonyoung and Leeseo is more serious because they didn’t even open their mouths properly while seated. Moreover, LE SSERAFIM was singing over backtrack, while IVE was lip-syncing over an existing cover.
