LE SSERAFIM spotlighted by foreign media ahead of Coachella “It’ll be one of the most talked about, hotly debated shows”
LE SSERAFIM's stage will be one of the biggest highlights at this year's "Coachella"
The interest from overseas media towards girl group LE SSERAFIM, which is set to perform at the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival”, the largest music festival in the United States, is heating up.
The renowned American music magazine Rolling Stone annually selects 25 individuals (or groups) leading the future of the music industry and announces the “Future 25”. This year, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) made it to the list. Rolling Stone mentioned, “LE SSERAFIM’s world-conquering moment is almost here. The K-pop group prepares to take things to an even higher level, with a ‘Coachella’ performance and much more.” They added, “When you witness the confidence, composure and professionalism that LE SSERAFIM bring to every performance, it can be hard to believe that they’re only in their second year as a group.“
The American daily newspaper USA Today reported, “In the less than two years since their debut, LE SSERAFIM’s reach continues to stretch across the globe. And this year, LE SSERAFIM is set to perform at ‘Coachella’, being the only K-pop girl group on the lineup.” The British fashion and culture magazine Dazed expressed their anticipation, “Sometimes it’s hard to fathom that LE SSERAFIM will be on only their second anniversary in May, a milestone they’ll celebrate mere weeks after performing on the main stage at ‘Coachella’. It’ll undoubtedly be one of the most talked about, hotly debated shows of the festival.”
LE SSERAFIM’s “Coachella” debut stage will take place on the Sahara Stage from 10:50 PM on April 13th (hereafter local time). The stage will be broadcast live on Coachella’s official YouTube channel. The performance schedule for April 20th can be confirmed later through Coachella’s official SNS.
According to the latest chart released by Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, for the week of April 5th~11th, LE SSERAFIM’s track “Smart” from their 3rd mini album rose 5 spots to rank 114th on the “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart, marking its 7th consecutive week on the chart.
