From ITZY to Red Velvet and DAY6, members preparing for their first solo debuts are set to dominate the music landscape this month. First up, Yuna will officially step into the spotlight on March 23 with her solo debut album Ice Cream.
As the youngest member of ITZY, Yuna has long been praised for both her visuals and talent, raising high expectations for her solo debut. The title track “Ice Cream” is expected to highlight her cool yet lovable charm, drawing attention from fans and industry watchers alike.

Previously, fellow ITZY member Yeji became the first in the group to debut solo, and now Yuna is carrying the baton forward. Anticipation is building as she promises to showcase a different side of herself compared to her group activities.
Meanwhile, Irene is gearing up for her own comeback on March 30 with her first full-length solo album Biggest Fan. The album is said to feature autobiographical elements and a positive message, signaling a more mature musical direction for the artist.

Through the title track “Biggest Fan,” Irene expresses a confident attitude about embracing self-love while also conveying the idea of mutual support between artist and fans. The release is expected to serve as a meaningful gift to Red Velvet’s fandom.
Adding to the excitement, Wonpil of DAY6 will make his solo return after four years. Following his first solo album Pilmography in 2022, he is set to join the March comeback lineup with his first mini album Unfiltered.

Known for his songwriting and composing within DAY6, Wonpil is expected to deliver more personal and refined music this time. He will also hold his solo concert “WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ‘Unfiltered’” from May 1 to 3, further connecting with fans through his evolving artistry.
The rise of solo activities from members of major groups is adding richness and diversity to the March music scene.
In particular, BTS is set to make a highly anticipated comeback on March 20 with their fifth full-length album Arirang, raising expectations across the industry. With Yuna, Irene, and Wonpil stepping forward as representative soloists from their respective groups, attention is now focused on how this “spring solo battle” will unfold in the ever-competitive K-pop landscape.
