Kpop male group brand value rankings in 2021 January: Will BTS, NCT or SEVENTEEN start the new year most perfectly?

Today (January 9), the Korean Business Research Institute announced the results of the first 2021 brand value ranking for Kpop boy groups this month. In January 2021, Kpop fans witnessed an interesting race from the top 4. Although it is new year, the scores of each group have also increased and decreased significantly. During the period from December 9, 2020 to January 9, 2021, experts from the Korean Business Research Institute collected and analyzed data from currently active Kpop boy groups. All of these pieces of data are analyzed by experts at the Korean Business Research Institute based on a variety of criteria, such as the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes.
Top 5 Kpop male group brand value rankings in January 2021
No. 1: BTS
BTS topped the list for the 31st consecutive month. This January 2021, the Big Hit group recorded a score of 18,656,046. Although this score has decreased by about 21.15% from the previous month, it is still enough to help BTS surpass the rest of the competition in the brand value battle.
High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “Billboard,” “Dynamite,” and “Map of the Soul,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “record,” “dominate,” and “chosen.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 80.45 percent positive reactions.
No. 2: NCT
The runner-up position belongs to NCT with the brand index score of 5,115,736 points. Although the group’s ranking has not changed, compared to August, the brand index score of NCT has decreased by about 4.22%.
No. 3: SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN is ranked third with a brand index score of 4,613,058 points. This position of the group was not different from the previous month, but SEVENTEEN’s score increased by about 28.06%.
No. 4: EXO
Being at No. 4 is still EXO. The group continues to assert its stability in the brand value chart. This month, EXO reached 2,447,404 points, a decrease of about 22.72% compared to the previous month’s chart.
No. 5: THE BOYZ
The last group to enter the top 5 is THE BOYZ with a score of 1,856,697. Compared to the previous month ( No. 8), the group’s score has increased by about 12.92% to help the group reach the top 5 this month.
