JTBC’s new Sat-Sun drama “King the Land” (written by Choi Rom/ directed by Lim Hyun Wook) depicts the story of Goo Won (Lee Jun Ho), a man who hates smiles, and ‘smile queen’ Cheon Sa Rang (Im Yoon Ah/ Yoona), who always smiles, creating a day where they can smile brightly at VVIP Lounge ‘King the Land’, the dream of hoteliers.
Meeting at the King Hotel, Goo Won and Cheon Sa Rang have contrasting personalities, environments, and even opinions about smiles. Goo Won hates fake smiles, while Cheon Sa Rang is often in situations where she has to smile even when she doesn’t feel happy due to her profession. Therefore, the existence of the other to each of them is an unfamiliar world that they cannot imagine.
As their given situations differ, the two characters often bicker nonstop like enemies but gradually start to see the world from each other’s perspectives. The more time they spend together, the more they unknowingly influence each other. The excitement that approaches like fate will surely blow a spring breeze to the hearts of Goo Won and Cheon Sa Rang.
In the meantime, the released still photos allow viewers to observe Goo Won and Cheon Sa Rang as they get closer to each other little by little. Meanwhile, the chemistry between Lee Jun Ho (as Goo Won) and Im Yoon Ah (as Cheon Sa Rang) as they immerse into their respective characters arouses keen attention to the drama.
