IVE to make a second appearance on Japan’s Music Station to perform title song “WAVE”

Group IVE will appear on “Music Station” to promote their Japanese title song “WAVE”.

IVE will appear on Japanese TV Asahi’s “Music Station” on May 26 to perform the title song “WAVE” from their first Japanese album.

“Music Station” is Japan’s most famous music program that has been broadcast since 1986. The program is a buzz in Japan, gathering not only leading artists in the country but also popular pop stars from overseas appearing as guests.

Earlier in October last year, IVE appeared on “Music Station” and performed the “ELEVEN JAPANESE VER.-” stage, receiving rave reviews from the Japanese public.

With this upcoming performance with “WAVE”, IVE will perform on “Music Station” for the second time, drawing attention. “WAVE” is a song about pride in certainty than ambiguity in love. The song features charming bass sound and a catchy chorus.

The Starship girl group made their debut in Japan in October last year. Since then, the group has appeared on NHK’s “Red and White Song Festival”, Japan’s largest year-end music festival. They have consistently won local awards such as “New Artist of the Year” and “Best 3 New Artists” at the “Japan Gold Disc Awards 2023” held by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on March 10th.
