Before enlisting as an active-duty soldier, Ko Woo Rim cut his hair short and delivered heartfelt words to fans
On November 20th, Ko Woo Rim began his enlistment as an active-duty soldier. After undergoing basic military training, he is scheduled to serve in the army band.
The location and time of his enlistment are not disclosed for everyone’s safety. His agency expressed hope for the broad understanding and cooperation of many fans and the press.
Leading up to his enlistment, Ko Woo Rim said, “I hope you receive this news with joy and a light heart, anticipating that I will fulfill my duty of national defense splendidly and return.”
On the day of his enlistment, Ko Woo Rim announced through his official fan cafe, “I just left for the training camp with necessary items packed. I’m reading each and every message you sent, feeling the warmth and love for me, so I’m going with happiness.”
He continued, “I’ll come back healthy. I’ll also give frequent updates. I didn’t shave my head too closely since they say it has to be shaved again once inside.” Ko Woo Rim added, “Our fans, take care of yourselves. I’ll greet you again soon!”
As a PS, Ko Woo Rim humorously said, “The first meal inside today is Cheese Pork Cutlet. Looks like I’m in trouble losing weight.” Alongside these words, Ko Woo Rim shared a photo showing his short hair.
Ko Woo Rim married figure skating queen Kim Yuna in October of last year.
