As ‘figure skating queen’ Kim Yu-na (Kim Yeon-ah) announced her marriage to Forestella’s Go Woo-rim, the two’s “Lovestagram” traces were also found by netizens.
Go Woo-rim posted a picture of his dog Yeonwoo on Instagram in May 2020 along with the caption “I just have a little sister who will stay by my parents’ side warmly #Cuteness alert #Familystagram”.
In another post, he expressed affection for his dog, saying “Yeonwoo has grown up a lot during the time we couldn’t meet each other, I miss you.”
Netizens commented, “So Yeonwoo’s name means ‘Yeon-ah + Woo-rim’”, raising speculation that Yeonwoo was named after the combination of ‘Yeon’ in Kim Yeon-ah and ‘Woo’ in Go Woo-rim. Considering the fact that the two have been dating for three years, the matching timing added more credibility to the theory.
In addition, Go Woo-rim liked Kim Yu-na’s posts about ‘All That Skate’ from March 13th, 2019 to December 17th, 2020.
Kim Yu-na is a world-famous figure skater. Since her retirement after the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, she has continuously made contributions to social activities, such as being UNICEF International Goodwill Ambassador as well as the honorary ambassador for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics and the 2024 Gangwon-do Winter Youth Olympics.
Go Woo-rim, who graduated from Seoul National Univesity majoring in the department of vocal music, is a member of the Forestella, a crossover 4-member group of vocalists that won JTBC’s singing competition “Phantom Singer 2”. Born in 1995, he is 5 years younger than Kim Yu-na.
