Actor Kim Woo-bin melted hearts with his open affection for fellow actor and EXO member D.O. (Do Kyung-soo) on the December 12 episode of tvN’s variety show GBRB: Joy Pops Laugh Pops.
The episode, which marked the 9th installment of the travel-based business variety series, featured Kim Woo-bin, Lee Kwang-soo, and D.O. attending a report meeting to discuss their recent trip to Mexico as part of their company KKPP Food. While reviewing their journey and putting together a performance report, the trio came across some memorable photos one of which caught Kim Woo-bin’s eye.
It was a solo shot of D.O. with mud on his face, and Kim couldn’t hide his admiration: “He looks so cute,” he said, completely charmed. He even declared, “I’m going to keep this photo for myself,” playfully staking his claim.
PD Na Young-seok joined in, teasing D.O. by saying, “You’d look so cute with this photo framed. Why do you always look so emotionally blank?” prompting laughter all around.
Kim Woo-bin continued to shower D.O. with praise, suggesting the photo be included in the report: “It’s too adorable, it makes people feel good,” he said. Later, during an employee evaluation segment, Kim added, “There’s nothing I dislike about Do Kyung-soo. That’s just how it is,” revealing his genuine fondness.
Despite their close friendship, D.O. will be unable to attend Kim Woo-bin’s upcoming wedding to actress Shin Min-ah, whom he has been dating publicly since 2015. The ceremony is set for December 20, but unfortunately, it coincides with the 2025 Melon Music Awards, where D.O. has a prior commitment.
Though he’ll miss the big day, the warmth and camaraderie between Kim Woo-bin and D.O. were unmistakably clear in this heartfelt and humorous episode proving that true friendship goes far beyond attending events.
