During an interview with SPOTV News on December 11, D.O. (Do Kyung-soo) confessed, “My heart hurts, but I should make it up to Woo-bin hyung.”
Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-ah will tie the knot on December 20 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. However, D.O. will be unable to attend, as EXO is scheduled to perform as a full group at the Melon Music Awards 2025 on the same day.
D.O. shared that missing the ceremony was inevitable. “It’s work, so of course it’s important. And honestly, EXO comes first. It breaks my heart, but I need to do right by Woo-bin hyung,” he said. He added that Kim Woo-bin fully understood the situation despite their mutual disappointment. “ We’re both sad about it, but it’s something we both understand.”
When asked how he plans to repay Kim Woo-bin, D.O. sighed deeply and said, “That’s what I’m struggling with… I really don’t know what I should do to make up for it.”
D.O. also revealed that he had originally been preparing to sing the wedding congratulatory song. “I naturally assumed I’d be the one singing at his wedding. I knew about the marriage news quite early. Then the MMA schedule came in afterward, so I had to think about how to tell him. It wasn’t something I could skip.”
He added with a laugh, “We were both really disappointed. I was planning to sing ‘Popcorn’ as the wedding song. I don’t know who’s singing now. I’ve been excluded from Woo Bin hyung’s field of vision,” joking about his sudden replacement.
Despite the unexpected schedule conflict, D.O. expressed his warm affection for the couple and reiterated his intention to “treat Woo-bin even better in the future.”
