On November 18, Kim Soo-hyun’s legal representative, attorney Go Sang-rok of Law Firm Phil released a lengthy statement through his official channel, delivering a clear and stern message.
Go Sang-rok first emphasized contradictions in the late actress’s family’s claims.
The family previously stated they “never believed nor claimed that Kim Sae-ron died because of actor Kim Soo-hyun,” but Go Sang-rok countered that this stance contradicts their past actions.
He wrote, “The family’s actions clearly conflict with their current claims. Therefore, our firm maintains the firm position that their actions constitute complicity as accomplices in Kim Se-ui’s criminal conduct.”
He then addressed the ongoing disputes between the family and Kim Se-ui: “Any future conflict between the family and Kim Se-ui is strictly their issue, and it is for investigative authorities to clarify. Regardless of attorney Boo Ji-seok’s position, we have no intention of unnecessarily intervening in their upcoming disputes.”
He cited the family’s participation in the Garo Sero interviews on March 10 and 12, their repeated provision of photos, KakaoTalk messages, and other materials, and their continued actions reinforcing what Go Sang-rok calls “Kim Se-ui’s false narrative.”
According to him, these actions “can only be interpreted as functional involvement or shared participation in Kim Se-ui’s criminal behavior.”
The attorney further provided what he described as evidence of false statements by both the family and Kim Se-ui.
He warned, “If they again disseminate unrelated personal information about the actor or continue to throw dirt using the same false narrative, we will respond immediately with every possible measure.”
Reiterating his stance, Go Sang-rok added, “We have made our position clear multiple times. If additional unlawful actions occur, the family and attorney Boo Ji-seok must clearly understand that they can no longer shift responsibility onto Kim Se-ui.”
