According to Star News on July 13th, tvN’s new drama “Queen of Tears” (written by Park Ji Eun/ directed by Jang Young Woo & Kim Hee Won) will not air in the second half of this year.
“Queen of Tears” was originally scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2023. tvN also included it in the drama lineup for the second half of 2023 released in February. A report in April stated that the drama “Queen of Tears” would be scheduled as a weekend drama this December as a follow-up series to “Diva of the Deserted Island”.
Later, there have been changes in tvN’s weekend dramas lineup. Eventually, tvN’s Sat-Sun drama premiere schedule in the second half of 2023 will include “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch” on July 29th, “Arthdal Chronicles” in September, “Diva of the Deserted Island” in October, “Maestra” in December.
“Maestra”, starring Lee Young Ae, has been confirmed to air as tvN’s weekend drama in December. As a result, the schedule of “Queen of Tears” has been moved to the next year (2024). The exact time for the broadcast is still under discussion.
