Netizens re-examined Kim Sae-ron’s mention of actor Kim Soo-hyun in a past interview amid their romance rumors
On March 24th, Kim Sae-ron suddenly posted a selfie with Kim Soo-hyun on her Instagram Story but deleted it within a few seconds. The picture shows Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun putting their cheeks together in a friendly atmosphere.
The picture spread rapidly in online communities, sparking dating rumors to arise. Some netizens commented, “I think she thought it was her private Instagram account”, “Are you guys really dating?”, etc.
In the meantime, some brought up a past interview with Kim Sae-ron. It is because Kim Sae-ron once chose Kim Soo-hyun as the actor she wanted to act with during an interview with a media outlet in 2017.
When asked if she wanted to act with any actor, 17-year-old Kim Sae-ron said, “Since I was younger, I’ve already picked Kim Soo-hyun as the actor I want to act with. I think it would be so interesting if we can meet in the same project”, adding “Although we’re 12 years apart, he’s very young”.
