Kim Jung-hoon Mentions Drunk Driving Allegation, “I’m Reflecting On Myself But Please Trust Me”
Being booked on February 7th for refusing to take the breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act, Kim Jung-hoon held his birthday concert “ALIVE” in Osaka on the 19th and in Tokyo on the 20th.
Kim Jung-hoon met with Japanese fans at the fanmeeting at Yes Theater in Osaka and Gĩna Sisa Communication Hall in Tokyo. He continued doing activities even during the police investigation on charges of causing a traffic accident in December last year and refusing to take a breathalyzer test three times.
The male singer revealed his honest thoughts, making his position directly for the first time after the incident.
Kim Jung-hoon said, “On my birthday, mom came to my house and brought some food. She said nothing while heating up the seaweed soup, but then reminded me, ‘Be more careful in the future’. Her words made me think about life”, adding “Many people support me so I’m reflecting on my wrongdoing”.
He continued, “I won’t say that I will try my best or I didn’t make any mistake. However, please trust me. Just me so I can trust you, too. I’m really really sorry”.
It is said that Kim Jung-hoon was very emotional when his brother made a surprise appearance at the fanmeeting after the family’s birthday greeting video.
Kim Jung-hoon was sent to prosecution without detention on December 29th on charges of refusing the breathalyzer test request of the police who came to the scene after causing an accident while changing the route on the southern circulation road in Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries in the accident, leading to another charge being applied to Kim Jung-hoon.
At that time, the police came to the scene and requested a breathalyzer test three times but Kim Jung-hoon reportedly refused them all. In particular, his driving license had been revoked after he was caught drunk driving in July 2011.
