Kim Jong-kook’s controversial remark “I exercised to hit people” + Soft fist punch “humiliation” (Running Man)

On Jan 7th broadcast of SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man”, the members gathered for the 2024 New Year’s party under the concept of “Running Villa residents”.

Noh Sang-hyun recalled, “Me and Kim Jong-kook played a punch machine in Denmark, and I realized that he has a soft fist.” He surprised everyone by revealing, “The highest score is 999 points, but (Kim Jong-kook’s score) was 92 points.”

Kim Jong-kook was embarrassed, saying, “There’s a story behind this.” However, Noh Sang-hyun said “I made a vest with 92 written on it” and handed over a vest with the number “92”. In particular, regarding Kim Jong-kook’s punch score of 92, he made a controversial statement, “I exercised to hit people, not to hit machines.” Then he quickly corrected himself, “I exercised to hit living things to protect myself (self-defense).“
