Kim Jong-kook shared his feelings on “Dopojarak”, “It’s the first time I’ve gotten so close to others”
Dopo Five showed their affection for each other on “Dopojarak”.
On the afternoon of Sep 11th, MBC’s entertainment program “Dopojarak” depicted the last day of Dopo Five in Denmark.
After finishing the fifth and final day on the same day, Dopo Five gathered at the camping site to settle the sales. Their sales volume was 101 units, exceeding the target of 100, and the total sales volume was also 2.32 million won, the highest ever. Kim Jong-kook shared the contribution among all team members, saying, “At the end, we understand just by looking at each other’s eyes,” and Joo Woo-jae drew attention by responding with a high tension that had not been seen before. Joo Woo-jae added, “I pretended to be okay, but I’ve been under a lot of pressure.”
Dopo Five later recalled their time meeting local Danish people. Joo Woo-jae said, “Because there are various people living in Denmark, I felt no sense of difference between people from differentr countries. We were able to do it in a familiar atmosphere because they smiled brightly at us and talked to us a lot,” he said. In an interview, Kim Jong-kook added, “Even when we see someone with many Korea goods, they have a charm that only they carry.”
Dopo Five also expressed their affection for each other, saying that friendship was deepened thanks to their efforts with a common goal. Kim Jong-kook said, “I’ve been doing entertainment shows for a long time, but this has never happened before. We’ve gotten this close after a short program. I think we’re closer than my relationships through 11-year Running Man.” In the subsequent interview, Dopo Five expressed their feelings towards each other.
Hwang Dae-heon thanked Kim Jong-kook for always responding positively even when he had a hard time throughout the trip, and added that Joo Woo-jae and him were of the same mind as a pair of antennae. Ji Hyun-woo told Joo Woo-jae, “You worked hard to save the atmosphere as your older brother was boring and your younger brothers didn’t do many variety shows. Thank you.” Joo Woo-jae responded, “Ji Hyun-woo is Joo Hyung-tae (Ji Hyun-woo’s real name). The more I get to know you, the more I feel your easygoing charm.”
Hwang Dae-heon replied that he felt protected and called Ji Hyun-woo a “soft pillar“. Kim Jong-kook went on to say, “I think Noh Sang-hyun is a well-raised child.” Noh Sang-hyun confessed, “I and Hwang Dae-heon seem to have become brothers. It was definitely comfortable and it seems that we depended on each other. I also liked his performance as a sales partner. Above all, the combination of the five members worked well.” The image of the five people who became one at the end of the 8-day long journey gave warmth.
