Kim Jong Kook, “I lied to my ex-girlfriend to have time to work out. I was afraid that we would fight”
Singer Kim Jong Kook revealed the story of when he lied to his ex-girlfriend to spend time working out.
The August 20th broadcast of SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man” continued with the special episode of “Running Man Outing – Fishing Village”.
While the “market team” consisting of Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin and Haha headed to the market, Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan went to check the fish trap. Jeon So Min suddenly mentioned the fact that the “market team” members are all married men, saying “I guess their wives don’t nag about snacks. That’s why they wanted to go to the market”.
Song Ji Hyo said, “If Jong Kook gets married, he will join that team”. Kim Jong Kook wondered, “But do I have anything to get nagged, except for working out?”. Jeon So Min pointed out, “You always wear the same pants”. Hearing that, Kim Jong Kook began to talk about reusing things, such as towels and wet tissues.
As their conversation continued, Kim Jong Kook suddenly brought up an anecdote of when he lied to his ex-girlfriend because of his working out hobby. He said, “There was a time when I had finished all my schedule but I did not tell her about that on purpose. I was afraid that she might get mad and we would fight if I told her that I was going to work out so quickly”. Hearing that, Jeon So Min reacted, “I suddenly feel so angry”.
The topic then shifted to “first love”. Kim Jong Kook confessed that he found the girl he had a crush on during high school days through a KBS program. As the members talked about the standard of a first love, Kim Jong Kook commented, “I think the very first person you date is your first love”.
Later, the members gathered together to make fish tangsuyuk and squid sundae. Since none of the members could touch raw fish, Jeon So Min bravely stepped forward and Yang Se Chan helped her. Seeing Yang Se Chan’s extraordinary cooking skills, the members poured compliments, such as “You’re so cool. You can catch raw fish and cook so well”, “You have the boyfriend vibe”, etc.
