Kim Gun Woo “‘The Glory’ members will come to watch ‘Pari Bakery'”

Actor Kim Gun Woo took on the first musical stage challenge with “Pari Bakery”.

On the afternoon of May 19th, a press call for the musical “Pari Bakery” was held at S Theater, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Director Jung Tae Young, writer Kim Han Sol, composer Kim Ki Yeon and all actors attended the press conference held after the highlight trial performance.

Kim Gun Woo, who played the role of Son Myeong Oh in Netflix’s drama “The Glory” starring Song Hye Kyo, was cast and announced his first musical challenge.

Kim Gun Woo shared his thoughts, “I’ve always had a longing for the stage. I’m very grateful to those who chose me.”

He added, “‘The Glory’ members decided to come to watch ‘Pari Bakery’. I don’t know when it will be.”

The musical “Pari Bakery” is a story about 19-year-old boy Sung Woo who travels into the past through special space Pari Bakery to meet his parents of the same age as himself. It warmly depicts the process of discovering the fresh first love and cherished dream of those days as the family gets to know each other’s hearts.

“Pari Bakery” was born through the creative development process of the Wooran Cultural Foundation, which presented well-made musicals such as “Maybe a Happy Ending” and “Let Me Fly”, and returned 4 years after the tryout performance in 2019.

Ko Hoon Jeong, Kim Dae Gon and Cho Hyung Gyun play the role of the father Young Joon, who dreamed of becoming a poet during school days but gave up his dream for the sake of his family. Kim Gun Woo and Choi Woo Hyuk play the son Sung Woo. Han Jae Ah and Lim Ye Jin take on the role of Mi Yeon, who believes in fate after meeting Young Joon. Gong Min Seop and Kim Seung Yong play Joo Won, the owner of special space Pari Bakery.

The musical “Pari Bakery” will be performed at S Theater, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts until June 25th.
