kara japan fan meeting cancelled

According to MyDaily on June 1, KARA has called off all four fan meeting events that were set to take place in Japan on July 4 and 5.

The events were reportedly postponed due to local circumstances, and all tickets that had already been sold will be fully refunded.

However, some industry observers have suggested that low ticket sales may have played a role in the decision. According to these reports, the organizers may have overestimated demand by booking a large-scale venue with a capacity of around 10,000 seats, a size more commonly used for full concerts featuring extensive performances rather than fan meetings.

The canceled event, “2026 KARA Japan Fan Meeting: Hello, KAMILIA!”, was scheduled to be held at Tokyo Arena on July 4 and 5. It would have marked KARA’s first fan meeting in Japan in three years since the group’s 15th-anniversary fan meeting in 2023. At the time, fan meetings held across three Japanese cities reportedly sold out all seats, highlighting the group’s enduring popularity in the country.

KARA originally debuted in 2007 and rose to fame with a string of hit songs including “Pretty Girl,” “Mr.,” “Lupin,” and “Jumpin’.” The group remains one of the most influential second-generation K-pop acts and continues to maintain a loyal fanbase both in South Korea and Japan.
