(G)I-DLE will make a comeback in May
According to the 13th report by Xportsnews, (G)I-DLE members have confirmed their comeback in May and are currently in the final stages of preparation. This marks their first release in approximately 7 months since their fifth mini album “I Love” was released in October of last year.
Last year in March, (G)I-DLE proved themselves with their first full-length album “I NEVER DIE” after a year and two months since their debut. The title track “TOMBOY” topped various music charts and created the “TOMBOY” syndrome.
Their fifth mini album, “I Love”, which was released in October, achieved an approximately 284% growth rate by surpassing 678,000 copies in initial sales. The title track “Nxde” also topped the domestic music charts and achieved a “perfect all-kill” (PAK), succeeding in two consecutive hits. Additionally, they made a global impact by ranking 71st on the “Billboard 200” and achieving their first entry on the Billboard main chart since their debut.
Furthermore, (G)I-DLE members, including leader Soyeon, are showcasing their musical talents by participating directly in the album production. As they are praised for their artistic and popular appeal through music that reflects their individuality and meaningful messages, there is also interest in (G)I-DLE’s unique color that they will showcase through this upcoming album.
From their debut song “LATATA” to “HANN”, “Senorita”, “Oh my god”, “LION”, “TOMBOY”, and “Nxde”, (G)I-DLE, who compete with their distinctive music style, is drawing attention to their performance in the upcoming May comeback battle where many major artists are also returning.
