According to Heo, the veteran actor allegedly threw ice and physically assaulted a young male actor in his twenties for failing to sing a requested song. The story quickly reignited attention as internet users connected the dots — suggesting that the unnamed actor could be none other than Jung Hae In, who at that time was already a rising lead in dramas.
A viral post on Korean forums claimed: “Jung Hae In didn’t know the song Cho requested, so he was hit with ice. Others had to step in to stop it.”
Adding fuel to the fire, this rumor comes just days after Cho Jin Woong announced his retirement following public revelations of a juvenile criminal record. The actor’s agency has since declined to comment on any resurfacing incidents, citing his withdrawal from the public eye.
