Jo Ah Ram rediscovered through “Doctor Cha” after taking off idol image, “I’m living days that I can cherish and appreciate”
Idol-turned-actress Jo Ah Ram expressed her feelings after JTBC’s drama “Doctor Cha” ended.
Jo Ah Ram played Jeon So Ra, a third-year surgical resident, in JTBC’s Sat-Sun drama “Doctor Cha”, which ended recently with high ratings. In the final episode, which was released on June 4th, Jeon So Ra had a happy ending with her boyfriend Seo Jung Min (Song Ji Ho), who she had been dating secretly.
At the beginning of the drama, Jo Ah Ram portrayed Jeon So Ra as a person with strong belief and sharp judgment, someone who does not hesitate to speak her mind to her juniors, in the scene where she quarreled with Cha Jung Sook (Uhm Jung Hwa). However, as the story continued through several episodes, Jeon So Ra provided comfort and healing to Cha Jung Sook, showing their genuine “womance” chemistry and receiving explosive responses from viewers.
Playing a character with inner pains and an independent personality, Jo Ah Ram enriched the drama by showcasing her stable acting tone, sharp glances, and sophisticated manners when speaking. Her smart and bright visual with a unique vibe and distinctive features also captivated the viewers.
Expressing her gratitude through her agency Beyond J, Jo Ah Ram said, “Thanks to the overwhelming love and support from everyone, I’m living days that I can cherish and appreciate”.
She continued, “It feels like just yesterday when I started filming the drama last year, and now it’s already coming to an end. I was very happy when filming ‘Doctor Cha’ with the director, writer, many talented actors, and staff members. It was my honor to be part of this project”, showing her deep regret.
Jo Ah Ram added, “Receiving strength from viewers’ love, I will continue to grow slowly with a humble heart, so please keep looking forward to me”.
Arousing the public’s interest with the role of a part-timer her debut work “The Killer’s Shopping List”, Jo Ah Ram successfully showcased various charms in “Doctor Cha”. She is expanding her activities from the small screen to the big screen by participating in the upcoming film “Victory”, which is in production.
