A controversy has erupted after a designer publicly accused Jisoo of failing to return borrowed outfits, even using the phrase “she took my items”, drawing massive attention online.
According to recent claims, Belgian-based designer Benjamin Bortmans, who leads the Antwerp fashion brand JUDASIM, alleged via social media that several pieces he sent to Korea for an album cover shoot involving Jisoo have not been returned for over 6 months.
In a now-viral video, the designer tagged Jisoo directly and wrote, “Give me back my items,” before escalating the situation with the shocking statement, “Jisoo took my belongings.” He claimed that despite repeated communication attempts with her team, he has received no response regarding the missing items.
The designer further explained that the items in question were key pieces from a previous collection and held significant value. He stated that he had already sent invoices and contracts in preparation for potential legal action, yet still received no reply.
“I just want my items back. I don’t even want to shoot anymore,” he expressed in frustration, emphasizing that the lack of communication over several months has been “terrible” for a young designer who invested time and effort into his work.
However, in a follow-up video, Bortmans appeared to soften his stance slightly. He clarified that he did not intend to personally attack Jisoo but used her name to draw attention and prompt a response, noting that her name was included in the original email exchanges.
“I just wanted to get my items back,” he reiterated, while also asking the public to stop excessive criticism and hateful comments online.
Despite this clarification, the designer did not withdraw his claims, maintaining that the situation reflects a lack of respect and proper communication from the team involved.
As of now, BLACKPINK member Jisoo and her agency have not released any official statement regarding the allegations, leaving the controversy unresolved and fueling ongoing debate among netizens.
