On April 20, Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO, released a detailed legal statement through its representative at Kim & Chang law firm, pushing back against circulating rumors and online speculation.
The agency emphasized that the controversy—reportedly involving an individual identified as Jisoo’s family member—is entirely unrelated to both the artist and her company.
“The matter currently being raised has no connection whatsoever to the artist or BLISSOO. Much of the content circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clearly false information,” the statement read.
The agency also expressed strong regret over the spread of defamatory claims linking Jisoo to the incident.
BLISSOO clarified that Jisoo has lived independently for years due to her early start as a trainee.
“The artist began her trainee life at a young age and has long lived separately from her family, making it impossible for her to be aware of or involved in that individual’s private life,” the legal representative stated.
This point was emphasized to counter assumptions that Jisoo may have had knowledge of or involvement in the alleged incident.
The agency also addressed rumors suggesting that the family member had ties to Jisoo’s company.
“There has been no instance—past or present—where any family member received compensation from BLISSOO or participated in decision-making,” the statement clarified.
It further denied claims that the individual was involved in the company’s founding or management: “Claims that the individual co-founded BLISSOO or holds an executive position are entirely false.”
Additionally, BLISSOO confirmed that no financial or legal support has been provided to the individual and none is planned in the future.
The agency issued a firm warning regarding the spread of misinformation: “We will take all possible civil and criminal legal measures against those who create or distribute false information, defame the artist, or misuse her name and image in unrelated matters.”
They added that repeat offenders would face strict legal consequences without leniency or settlement.
The issue began after reports surfaced that a person allegedly related to Jisoo had been arrested on accusations of attempting inappropriate physical contact with a female BJ (broadcast jockey). The incident quickly spread across online communities and social media, leading to widespread speculation.
BLISSOO’s statement serves as a clear effort to separate Jisoo from the controversy and protect her reputation amid the growing online discourse.
