BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has been unexpectedly drawn into a growing controversy following reports that a man in his 30s widely alleged online to be her older brother is under police investigation for sexual assault.
According to reports from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, the man, identified only as “Mr. A,” was arrested on April 16 and is currently being investigated on charges of forced molestation.
The case reportedly involves a female streamer who had interacted with Mr. A through a so-called “date ticket.” These tickets are typically offered as rewards to top donors during livestreams, allowing them to meet the streamer in person. Mr. A allegedly paid approximately ₩3 million KRW (around $2,000 USD) for the meeting.

The streamer stated that after having a meal and drinks together, Mr. A invited her to his home under the assurance that no inappropriate behavior would occur. However, she claims that he engaged in non-consensual physical contact and attempted further sexual assault.
“He promised that he would not have any sexual contact with me. I already rejected him several times, but he forced physical contact and also tried to sexually assault me,” the streamer alleged.
Additional claims suggest that Mr. A may have driven under the influence following the dinner. Police reportedly arrived at the scene and made the arrest after knocking on the door.

While authorities have not officially disclosed the suspect’s identity, speculation quickly spread online that the individual is related to Jisoo. The situation escalated further after a Korean news outlet reportedly used an image resembling Jisoo and her brother as a thumbnail, fueling public assumptions.
Fans quickly recognized the blurred image, leading to widespread discussion across online communities. Some also pointed out past allegations involving the same individual, including claims of illegally filming employees without consent, though these remain unconfirmed.

As the controversy gained traction, attention shifted to Jisoo’s reported professional connections with her brother. The two are believed to be linked through her label, Blissoo, where he has been described as a founding member and has reportedly received credits in her work.
This connection has sparked backlash online, with some netizens expressing concern about the implications of maintaining professional ties amid serious allegations.

Comments ranged from worry about her public image to calls for clarification, with some claiming the situation could negatively impact her career.
- They are both still associated with her company, Blissoo. Will she condemn her brother and cut ties with her company? Whatever her fans buy will contribute directly to this r*pist.
- Is he trying to ruin jisoo’s career?, they both built Blisoo and Jisoo will be associated with this. Jisoo’s family is literally weird they think they could break Jisoo’s career if they use Jisoo’s brother.
- This is sick omg and not a word from Jisoo calling out his actions. These cannot be our feminist idols.
As of now, Jisoo has not released any official statement addressing the controversy.
