The production team behind the Netflix drama Boyfriend On Demand has officially responded to growing controversy surrounding the show’s credit listing, which unexpectedly involved the older brother of Jisoo.
The issue first gained attention after viewers noticed that Kim Jung Hoon—Jisoo’s brother, who is currently embroiled in multiple personal scandals—was listed in the drama’s credits under the role of “management representative.” The listing quickly sparked debate online, with many questioning whether it contradicted Jisoo’s previous statement that no family members were involved in her agency, BLISSOO.
Amid mounting speculation, the drama’s production team clarified the situation on April 21 in a statement to JTBC News. “We confirmed that there was an internal error in the credit section related to the actress’s management information, and we immediately corrected it after discovery,” the representative explained. The team emphasized that the listing was not intentional and stemmed from a production mistake rather than an actual managerial role.

As the situation escalated, Jisoo addressed the issue through her legal representatives on April 20, firmly distancing herself from her brother’s personal life. The statement emphasized that she has lived independently since her trainee days and has had minimal involvement with her family for years.
“During the early stages of establishing BLISSOO, there was limited support from family members in the form of advice and information sharing. However, no family member has received compensation or participated in management decisions, and the company now operates fully independently,” her legal team stated.
