On the May 17 broadcast of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, Jeon So Min appeared as a special MC and openly talked about her recent life.
During the show, the actress revealed that after stepping down from Running Man in 2023 following seven years on the program, she briefly worked at a café.
She explained, “A close older brother of mine owns a café, so I worked there part-time for a while.” She continued, “Rather than worrying about the future itself, I had been working steadily for years, so when everything suddenly stopped, I became anxious.”
Jeon So Min added that although she had savings, she still felt uneasy because she did not know when her next source of income would come. “I had money saved up, but since I didn’t know when I’d earn money again, I wanted to at least go out and do something productive,” she shared.
The actress also revealed there was one special condition attached to her café job. She explained, “I worked there under the condition that I wouldn’t wear a hat or mask. If I covered my face, people wouldn’t recognize me, so they hired me partly to help promote the café.”
Jeon So Min also shared details about her independent lifestyle, revealing that she has essentially banned her parents from entering her home.
She explained, “The reason I moved out was because I wanted the freedom to leave things messy.” She continued, “My parents are extremely clean and very thorough when it comes to cleaning. They also don’t like the way I organize things.”
The actress then hilariously confessed, “I lie to my parents and tell them my house is clean. In reality, there’s only enough space for me to lie down.”
Jeon So Min also spoke honestly about her dating experiences during her seven years on Running Man. Surprisingly, she revealed that no guest had ever flirted with her during her time on the show.
“I was on the program for seven years, but not even once,” she said. “But I heard Lee Mi-joo received more advances than expected. I’m jealous.”
She jokingly added, “I was always wearing funny costumes. I wasn’t exactly showing my beautiful side.”
