Jay Park, who appeared as a guest at IU’s concert, “IU is younger than me, but I respect her”

Famous singer Jay Park expressed his immense respect for IU.

On September 18th, IU held her solo concert “Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun” at the Olympic Stadium, Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This is her 2nd concert night at the venue, following a concert on September 17th.

“Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun” is IU’s first solo concert after 3 years since 2019, and is an extremely meaningful event, seeing that it is IU’s first concert to be held at the Olympic Stadium. This also makes IU the first Korean female soloist to ever sell out such a venue.

On this night, Jay Park appeared at the concert as a guest of honor. On the stage, the male singer said, “Thank you IU for inviting me, It’s such a great honor for me”.

He then continued, “IU is way younger than me, but she’s a singer I respect a lot. It’s really cool of her to maintain the top position for 14 years like this, while taking good care of herself and doing everything perfectly, from making albums to preparing for performance. Because I’m also a singer, I know how much effort and sacrifice she has to put in. That makes her even more amazing. I think you guys will be very happy as IU’s fans.”

Afterwards, Jay Park delivered a performance of his single “GANADAR (feat IU)” with the famous dance crew Holy Bang. This is the first collaboration song of Jay Park and IU.
