IU, ride a hot-air balloon around Olympic Main Stadium… Sing “Strawberry Moon” passionately

Singer IU presented a hot-air balloon performance.

IU’s solo concert “The Golden Hour: Under The Orange Sun” was held at the Olympic Main Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on Sep 18th. IU‘s solo concert this time was held about 3 years after the COVID-19 pandemic. This is IU’s 9th solo concert.

Before singing “Strawberry Moon”, IU went around the main stadium in a hot-air balloon in the shape of a pink moon, the symbol of the song. Fans cheered for IU, who was singing while looking outside the hot-air balloon.

The hot-air balloon performance was accompanied by a fellow passenger for the artist’s safety, and several staff members assisted the performance under the hot-air balloon. IU returned to the stage after getting off the hot-air balloon and sang the rest of “Strawberry Moon”.

IU then sang her representative song “Hold My Hand” to encourage fans to cheer.

IU set a milestone through this performance. She became the first Korean female singer to enter the Olympic Main Stadium at Jamsil Sports Complex. She has demonstrated the great power of her music. About 40,000 fans filled the concert venue to welcome IU’s return.
