Jay Park says he has no intention to retire after resigning from being AOMG and H1ghr Music’s CEO

Singer and former CEO of AOMG and H1ghr Music Park Jae-beom (Jay Park) stressed, “I have no plans to retire.”

Park Jae-beom, who resigned as CEO of AOMG and H1ghr Music earlier this year and was embroiled in rumors of retirement, recently said in a video on his official YouTube, “I have no plans to retire for the time being. After 12 years of constant activities, I wanted to recharge myself l.”

In this video, which was a talk between Jay Park and Yoo Hee-yeol of Antenna Music, the singer said, “I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. As the company’s structure and organization were gradually in form, the part I had to take charge of decreased. I quit my position as a CEO for a new challenge because I wanted to do something new.”

Park Jae-beom‘s new challenge was to create an idol group with a new genre and release his album. It was also for him to release his own alcohol brand.

Park Jae-beom added, “I first released an R&B album in 2016, which was loved by many fans. I am working on a full album in the R&B genre. I also want to make an idol group that has not been seen in K-pop. I want to show an idol composed of confident and humane members who can honestly show their shortcomings, not singers who try to cover them.”

Regarding the introduction of his alcohol brand, Park Jae-beom said, “I gave soju as gifts to many people, saying it was Korean alcohol. ‘Is this your alcohol?’ I’ve been asked this question a lot. I’ve been recommended to make my own alcohol brand.”

Park Jae-beom continued, “There are still things I want to do. For this culture, I want to give the industry a stir and want to challenge myself with something new.”
