Jang Geun-suk’s Fansigning Event In Heavy Rain Participated By Only 7 Fans, “Did We Pick The Wrong Date?”
Jang Geun Suk held an impromptu meet-and-greet event in the heavy rain
On September 21st, the YouTube channel “I Am Jang Geun-suk” uploaded a new video titled, “[Shocking] The Reality Of Jang Geun Suk Turning Gangnam Upside Down”.
That day, Jang Geun-suk prepared a surprise fansigning event for fans who subscribe to his YouTube channel as he has surpassed 100,000 subscribers. He set up a tent on the street in the heavy ran and waited for fans to visit. The staff looked worried because of the heavy rain so they asked, “Who’s going to get your signature?”. In response, Jang Geun-suk said, “No, it’s more romantic in this way. There will be fans who love my channel. Wait and don’t hurry”.
A few minutes later, several fans appeared at the meet-and-greet location and Jang Geun-suk couldn’t hide his excitement. He welcomed them, saying “Guys, don’t be shy and come on in”. He then confessed, “Many people received the rice cakes with my love and went back so happily. I’m really excited”.
The meet-and-greet event then slowed down as the rain got heavier. Waiting for more fans, Jang Geun-suk shared “I think people are shy and passing by even if they want to be here. We need to make them comfortable to come here”. He then held the speaker and started promoting his event.
Despite his efforts, people did not come. Jang Geun-suk complained, “The rain is so bad. Did we pick the wrong date? I don’t think it’s going to work”, then decided to go around delivering the rice cakes to people by himself.
A total of 7 fans actually went to the meet-and-greet event to get Jang Geun-suk’s signature. He said, “Don’t take this in the wrong way. I’m not doing this because no one was here. I’m going to share my love with my friends who are currently subscribing to my channel.”
Later, he met Park Jenny, who is running the YouTube channel “Jennypark”, SS501 member Kim Hyung-joon, and actress Oh Yoon-ah and handed over some rice cakes to them.
At the end of the video to celebrate the milestone of 100,000 subscribers, Jang Geun-suk thanked his subscribers, saying “It’s a prize that I received thanks to your support. I’m going to make sure to not let you down. So please make sure to continue to support me.”
