The 37th Golden Disc Awards have announced its second lineup filled with top stars.
On December 14th, the 37th Golden Disc Awards announced that (G)I-DLE, BE’O, BIG Naughty, IVE, j-hope, PSY, and Younha will appear at its awards ceremony in January.
Prior to this second lineup, several top artists including ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, Stray Kids, TREASURE, and SEVENTEEN have been unveiled in the 1st lineup.
(G)I-DLE, who took the lead in this year’s “girl group craze” with “TOMBOY”, is nominated in both the digital music and album categories.
Meanwhile, BE’O will be attending the Golden Disc Awards for the first time since his debut, after showing an outstanding performance on the music charts amid Kpop girl groups. The male soloist is nominated for the digital music category.
BIG Naughty is also appearing for the first time, and rumors have it that the rapper is preparing a special stage only for this awards ceremony.
IVE, who took over the music charts with all of their singles, is nominated for the digital music category and the rookie award. During 2022, the girl group have made a “relay hit streak” with their debut song “ELEVEN”, 2nd single “LOVE DIVE”, and latest title “After LIKE”.
BTS j-hope, who is nominated for the physical album category, is also joining the 2022 Golden Disc Awards. Previously, j-hope’s album “Jack in the Box” was listed among “50 Best Albums of 2022” by the UK media NME and “The 100 Best Albums of 2022” by the US media Rolling Stone.
PSY, who showed off his world star power with the title song “That That” from his 9th regular album “Cheap 9”, will also visit the award ceremony with a nomination.
Younha, whose song has achieved a great feat and soar on Korean music charts, will also participate in the 37th Golden Disc Awards. After conquering music charts with “Event Horizon”, which was released in March of this year, Younha reached the top spot on a terrestrial TV music program for the first time in 15 years.
The “37th Golden Disc Awards with TikTok” will be held at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on January 7th, 2023 at 8:00 PM (KST). A delay live will be broadcast on channels JTBC2 and JTBC4.
