On the January 22 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”, WJSN’s Seola and former IZ*ONE member Choi Yena appeared as guests.
During the show, Park Myung-soo asked Seola and Choi Yena about the challenges they faced when working solo compared to being in a group. He pointed out that it might be more burdensome, since solo artists have to handle all the mistakes themselves compared to a group, where it’s easy to make a “scapegoat”.
Answering this, Choi Yena said, “Both mine and Seola’s group have a lot of members”, adding, “ During stage performances, the choreography and positions are complex, and one wrong move can lead to a big trouble. It was burdensome at times, but as a solo artist, you don’t have to worry about such things. You can stay in the center alone.”
“However, group performances are undeniably fun, and the energy is different”, Yena also expressed.
When Park Myung Soo asked about eating expenses, Choi Yena surprised everyone by revealing, “Food expenses were incredibly high during IZ*ONE. It was almost 10 million won (approx 7,500 USD) each.”
The female idol then explained, “You know the saying, ‘Other people’s food looks bigger’? Seeing someone else eat makes it look more delicious, and you end up taking a bite.”
