IZ*ONE Jo Yuri and Choi Yena appear on “Produce 101 Japan”, give advice as seniors

Former IZ*ONE members-solo singers Jo Yuri and Choi Yena meet Japanese idol trainees

On Dec 7th, episode 10 of “Produce 101 Japan” was released on the Japanese OTT platform Lemino. On this day’s broadcast, Jo Yuri and Choi Yena made a surprise appearance, drawing attention.

The trainees could not hide their excitement at the unexpected appearance of Jo Yuri and Choi Yena. Some trainees were visibly moved to tears.

Jo Yuri recalled her participation in the survival program, stating, “Physically and mentally, it seems very difficult for you.” She emphasized that they should not blame themselves even if they fail in the competition and encouraged them to work hard, assuring that they would eventually be rewarded.

Choi Yena advised the trainee juniors, “Even in the most difficult and exhausting moments, don’t forget that you are truly shining.” As a former survival show participant, she empathized with the trainees.

Both Jo Yuri and Choi Yena were selected as the debut members through Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce 48”. In 2018, they debuted as part of the project girl group IZ*ONE, which actively promoted in both Korea and Japan, receiving a lot of love and attention.

In 2021, after the conclusion of IZ*ONE’s activities, Jo Yuri and Choi Yena debuted as solo singers. They are currently active in various fields, including acting, singing and variety shows.
