IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, NMIXX’s Jiwoo, Billlie’s Siyoon to Focus on Activities Without Taking CSAT

These idols are unable to attend college anyway

As the 2024 College Entrance Exam in Korea (CSAT) approaches in three days, there are K-pop idols who are concentrating on their entertainment careers without taking the exam. It’s not about academic achievements but pursuing their real dreams.

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, following last year, is not taking the CSAT this year either. Born in 2004, Jang Wonyoung was eligible to take the CSAT last year but chose to focus on her activities instead.

After successfully concluding her comeback with IVE on October 29th, Jang Wonyoung continues her various schedules. She affirms her commitment to focus on IVE’s activities and defers her college entrance decision to a later date.

NMIXX’s Jiwoo, born in 2005, also opts not to take the 2024 CSAT, dedicating herself to her singing career. Last year, the group’s 2004-born member, Sullyoon, made a similar choice to forego the CSAT in favor of NMIXX’s “Funky Glitter Christmas” release.

Billlie’s Siyoon is also not taking the CSAT, fully concentrating on her current activities. She is not attending school and plans to dedicate herself to Billlie’s single released last month.

Other 2005-born idols such as TREASURE’s So Junghwan, Kiss of Life’s Haneul, ICHILLIN’s Chowon, and more, have also expressed their intention not to take the 2024 CSAT.
