Rei, a member of girl group IVE, recently published a handwritten letter for fans after having her activities suspended due to health reasons.
On April 12th, Rei shared a lengthy handwritten letter on the official fan cafe of IVE, stating, “Honestly, I’ve been thinking about how to write a letter, so I’m going to try to write a sincere letter to DIVE now.”
DIVE here refers to the official fandom of IVE.
In her letter, Rei said, “Since I became a member of IVE, I’ve been working hard with five of the best members. When I was happy and sad, the ones who always stayed by my side were the members and DIVEs. Right now, I’m taking a break for a while and slowly trying not to make this time to take care of myself meaningless.”
“Every day without fail, I think of DIVEs and the members. I’m always curious and want to know what they’re doing, whether they’ve eaten, and if they had fun. They are all my most precious friends and family,” the female idol added.
Furthermore, Rei mentioned, “As this is our 1st full-length album, all the members worked really hard on it. I hope IVE members will look great and be loved by people all around the world, and I really want to see DIVEs”.
Rei also wished for the happiness of those she loves, stating, “I hope we all know our worth and not be afraid of tomorrow. Please don’t forget that there are people who love and cherish you by your side even in difficult moments.”
Finally, the female idol concluded by saying, “Let’s promise to have a day full of smiles and happiness today. I love you, DIVEs.”
On the other hand, on April 10th, Rei attended the photo time for the press conference of IVE’s first full album “I’ve IVE”, but had to leave early. At the time, the event’s host announced, “Rei left first after photo time due to her worsening condition. We ask for your understanding.”
Following this, IVE’s agency, Starship Entertainment, announced on April 11 through the official fan cafe that, “Rei went to the hospital after experiencing symptoms such as a heart palpitations and tightness in her chest, and received a medical opinion that she needed treatment and rest. After sufficient discussion with Rei based on the medical institution’s opinion, we decided to temporarily suspend her activities so that Rei can recover her health.”
