IVE, popular even before debuting in Japan! Leader An Yu-jin “It’s amazing”

IVE (An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, Leeseo) sent up a signal flare for their activities in Japan.

After successfully completing two weeks of omnibus performances and local promotions in Japan, IVE announced their official debut in Japan this fall.

IVE participated in “THE STAR NEXTAGE” held in Yokohama, Kobe and Fukuoka on August 2nd, 4th and 9th, representing the next generation of Korean artists. They met about 60,000 Japanese fans and finished performances successfully.

On August 10th, IVE announced their debut in Japan this fall through their official Japanese site. On the same day, they released surprise videos confirming their debut through Shibuya and Shinjuku electronic display boards, making fans excited by announcing the news of their activities in Japan. IVE also made a surprise visit to Shibuya Street and had time to check the video on the electronic display board.

In addition, IVE proved their popularity in Japan as the Japanese version of “Eleven” was selected as the theme song for the virtual space event “Virtual Adventure Island 2022″ held on Fuji TV. They appeared on a series of live programs such as Fuji TV’s representative morning program “Mezamashi TV”, “Mezamashi 8”, “POP UP!” and showed active activities in Japan even before their official debut.

IVE’s leader An Yu-jin said through her agency Starship Entertainment, “I was happy to meet many Japanese fans by appearing on ‘THE STAR NEXTAGE’ as well as ‘Mezamashi TV. It’s amazing to see IVE on the electronic display board when I visited Shibuya Street with the members. I’m very grateful for DIVE’s support. IVE will continue to show you good sides in the future.

Earlier, even before IVE’s official debut in Japan, they topped Billboard Japan’s “TOP User Generated Songs“, which only counts YouTube views of various contents such as dance covers and challenges produced based on “Eleven”. Based on this record, they got TOP 10 in the recently released “Billboard Japan TOP User Generated Songs Chart in the first half of 2022“, announcing the birth of a super rookie.

They topped Apple Music Japan’s Weekly Song Chart (April 11th~April 17th, 2022) with their second single “Love Dive”. They also proved the interest of local fans by ranking No.2 in Oricon Chart’s weekly streaming category, No.9 on Line Music’s “TOP100” chart in April, No.8 on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 chart and No.1 on Billboard Japan’s “TOP User Generated Songs” chart.

After a two-week promotion in Japan, IVE returned to Korea on August 12th (Friday) and began preparing for their comeback on August 22nd.

Meanwhile, IVE will release their third single “After LIKE” at 6 PM on August 22nd.
