IVE will appear as a full group in ISAC, which has been revived after 2 years.
As reported by OSEN on July 20th, IVE has confirmed their appearance in MBC’s entertainment program “2022 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championship (abbreviated as ISAC)”. All members of IVE including Ahn Yujin, Jang Wonyoung, Gaeul, Rei, Liz, and Leeseo, will attend.
ISAC is a special program where idols take on sports challenges in fair competition. Starting with the 1st Idol Star Athletics Championship held in Chuseok 2010, it has become MBC’s well-known program every holiday, receiving love from fans for a long time as a fun festival where idols from various K-pop groups gather in one place regardless of their gender and seniority.
However, due to the pandemic, ISAC could not take place for two years after the 2020 Lunar New Year special. Therefore, the revival of ISAC after two years is receiving high expectations from idols and fans.
Meanwhile, IVE, one of the most popular 4th gen girl groups, debuted with the single ‘ELEVEN’ in December of last year, and first attracted attention for having former IZ*ONE members Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin in the lineup. Following ‘ELEVEN’, IVE made their 1st comeback with ‘LOVE DIVE’ in April, and topped the charts, gaining great popularity. The appearance of the trending rookie girl group IVE in the first ISAC in two years has thus raised great anticipation.
The 2022 ISAC will be filmed on July 30th and August 1st. As it is a holiday special, the broadcast is scheduled to be during the Chuseok holiday this September.
