IU’s words to her fans caught the attention of netizens.
On June 13th, on IU’s fan YouTube channel ‘ForYou’, a video of IU worrying about the condition of her fans’ neck was posted. In the video, IU responded by waving her hands when fans shouted her name on her way home from work after a stage greeting of the new movie ‘Broker‘.
Hearing fans’ screams, IU told them, “Aren’t your throats hurting? What are you going to do (shouting like that)?” as she worried about the fans’ voices.
When the fans responded to IU’s sweet concern by saying, “No, we need to scream more!”, IU said, “No, you’re gonna get a real sore throat. You should take care of it,” warming both fans and netizens’ hearts.
Meanwhile, IU attended the 75th Cannes International Film Festival with her latest film ‘Broker’ last month. Song Kang Ho, who plays the main character, became the first Korean actor to win Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival. IU plays Soyoung, a single mother who left her baby in a baby box in ‘Broker’.
