IU’s reaction when meeting a fan again after 10 years draws attention

A video showing singer-actress IU reuniting with a fan after 10 years is a hot topic on Twitter.

On May 6th, a Japanese fan posted on her Twitter a video of IU during the stage greeting for her new movie “Dream” with the caption, “It’s been almost 10 years since I last met IU and she called my name right away”.

In the video, IU looked at the fan who came to meet her again for the first time in 10 years and greeted, “How have you been? You look the same. Very pretty”.

When the Japanese fan asked, “Do you recognize me?”, IU even called her name immediately and replied, “I missed you so much”.

Meanwhile, IU played the role of Lee So Min, a broadcasting PD who produces a documentary about the national football team of homeless people, in the movie “Dream”, which premiered on the 26th of last month. As of May 6th, “Dream” already surpassed 900,000 cumulative admissions.

IU is currently filming her next work – “You Have Done Well” with actor Park Bo Gum. This is a drama about the adventure through four seasons of the rebellious girl Ae Soon and the tough boy Gwan Sik in Jeju Island in the 1950s.

In “You Have Done Well”, IU portrays Ae Soon, a young girl who dreams of becoming a poet even though she cannot even attend school. The older version of Ae Soon is played by actress Moon So Ri. Park Bo Gum appears in the drama as young Gwan Sik, who loves and respects only Ae Soon. Actor Park Hae Joon is in charge of the grown-up version of Gwan Sik.
