“Dream” depicts the story of conceptless former football player Hong Dae (Park Seo Joon) and passionless PD So Min (IU) challenging impossible dreams with a national football team consisting of homeless people. IU appears in the movie as PD So Min, who has run out of both passion and money, who is making a documentary for the Homeless World Cup.

Making her acting debut in KBS2’s 2011 drama “Dream High”, IU has been working as an actress for 13 years and playing many different characters. She shared, “Each and every work has its own unique characteristics and achievements, so they are all memorable to me. I don’t mean to pick only one drama and one character. But the role that made me think, ‘It’s an important role even if it’s not a well-known one’. That would be Kim Bo Tong in ‘Bel Ami’.”

IU emphasized, “While playing So Min this time, I took reference from Bo Tong. Bo Tong was a super bright character. I played another cheerful character for the first time after a while with So Min. While acting, I just asked myself, ‘Oh, I did this before, right?’, and I could find some parts of such a character me”, adding “Many people remember me as Ji An in ‘My Mister’ and love me for the role of Man Wol in ‘Hotel del Luna’. However, Bo Tong remains a precious character to me even though it’s not a well-known role.”
