IU shows dedication to movie “Dream” by throwing herself into filming, suffers corneal damage and swollen cheeks

IU showed her dedication to the newly released movie “Dream” by throwing her whole body into filming.

On April 30th, a video titled “[IU TV] Dream,” which documents IU’s three-year journey for the movie “Dream”, was released on IU’s official YouTube channel.

In the video, IU can be seen playing soccer on set before picking up the camera and filming for “IU TV,” capturing footage of other cast members. 

IU filmed various scenes on the set and conveyed the passionate atmosphere, saying, “I can’t tell if this is a movie set or a weekend soccer field.”

Later in the video, IU revealed that she had gone to Hungary for overseas filming. She said, “My mental condition is good for now,” but also shared her physical struggles, saying, “My eyes hurt, my head is clear, but my legs hurt a bit.

Continuing, IU expressed her concern about her eyes, saying, “My eyes hurt too much because the sun is too strong. I think I’ve suffered some damage to my cornea.” She emphasized the importance of wearing sunglasses when traveling abroad, saying, “I didn’t understand why people always say to bring sunglasses when going abroad, but now I know.

During the filming that followed her return from Hungary, IU expressed her love for the movie “Dream,” saying, “This movie contains my 28s, 29s, and 30s.” 

She also shared her worry about her swollen cheeks, saying, “I’m worried that my swollen cheeks will make it look like I’m still 28 or 30.

Meanwhile, the movie “Dream” was released on April 26th and is currently ranked 2nd at the box office in Korea.
