On April 21, a behind-the-scenes video titled “A Full Day with Human Cherry Blossom IU! Radio Moments with the Boss After a While” was released on the YouTube channel Idol Radio Universe. Among the highlights, IU was seen preparing a small gift for Lee Hyori, warming fans’ hearts.
Lee Sang-soon greeted IU warmly, saying, “It’s been a while.” The two previously built a close bond while appearing together on the JTBC show Hyori’s Homestay in 2017, where Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon ran the guesthouse while IU worked as a staff member.
IU handed over the snack, saying, “Please enjoy this with unnie (Lee Hyori). It’s yakgwa,” showing her caring nature. Lee Sang-soon responded with gratitude, clearly touched by the gesture.
In return, Lee Sang-soon also gifted IU some chocolate, asking, “Do you still enjoy sweets these days?”—creating a warm and friendly exchange that delighted viewers.
IU, Lee Hyori, and Lee Sang-soon were widely loved for their natural chemistry on Hyori’s Homestay. Although rumors of discord surfaced at one point, moments like this—where they continue to look out for one another—have effectively dispelled such speculation.
Previously, Lee Hyori mentioned IU while appearing on the show Pinggyego, saying, “There aren’t many people who consistently care for us, but IU is one of them,” highlighting their enduring friendship.
Meanwhile, IU is currently showcasing her versatility as an actress in the MBC drama Perfect Crown, further solidifying her reputation in the industry.
