Singer IU (30) reportedly purchased a luxury villa in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The market price of this villa is about 15 billion won, and IU is expected to become actor Song Joong Ki (38)’s neighbor.
In episode 115 of KBS2’s entertainment show “Entertainment company Live” on Jan 12th, information about the luxury villas in Cheongdam-dong that IU and Song Joong Ki bought was revealed.
According to the broadcast, IU and Song Joong Ki purchased luxury villas in Cheongdam-dong, which will be completed in December this year. A villa consists of one building (19 floors) and 29 units, with an area of 344~1168㎡.
In particular, IU is known to have bought this luxury villa entirely in cash. Currently, IU is living in her flat in Raemian Caelitus, Yongsan-gu, which is famous for its Han River views and for being a 56-storey building.
Previously, IU also announced that she purchased a country house in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do for about 3 billion won. This 2-storey house is currently inhabited by IU’s family.
It is known that the reason IU found a house in Yangpyeong is because of her family’s rest. Due to this relationship, IU has been steadily participating in donations for the underprivileged in Yangpyeong-gun from 2020 to this year.
Meanwhile, IU announced through her agency on Dec 31st last year that she is dating Lee Jong Suk. The two served as co-MCs for SBS’ music program “Inkigayo” in 2012. After a long time being friends, they developed into lovers.
