IU and Park Bo Gum confirmed for Netflix’s new drama by “When the Camellia Blooms” writer

Netflix has confirmed that “You Have Done Well” will be their newest addition, starring Park Bo Gum and IU. 

On April 4th, the production company of “You Have Done Well” announced that they had signed a single sales and supply contract with Netflix Worldwide Entertainment LLC for the production and supply of the OTT content.

According to the announcement, the sales and supply region is marked as worldwide, and the contract will be valid until October 31st, 2025. It is still unknown whether the show will be an official Netflix Original Series.

“You Have Done Well” has generated a lot of buzz due to its star-studded cast, featuring Park Bo Gum and IU. The show is directed by Kim Won Seok, known for his work on “My Mister,” and the script is written by Lim Sang Chun, the writer behind “When the Camellia Blooms.”

Set in the 1950s on Jeju Island, “You Have Done Well” depicts the story of Ae Soon (IU), a “troublemaker” born and raised on Jeju Island, and Gwan Sik (Park Bo Gum), a local of the village. The show’s title is derived from the Jeju dialect and means “thank you for your hard work.”

The drama is currently in the final stages of pre-production and is expected to begin filming soon. Fans of both IU and Park Bo Gum are eagerly anticipating the drama’s release and are excited to see the chemistry between the two beloved actors.
