At midnight on January 24, the MV for IU’s “Love Wins All”, which features IU and BTS V, was officially released.
Almost immediately after, a topic titled “Foreign fans are angry after watching IU and BTS V’s MV” was published on the Korean forum “theqoo”, attracting over 72,000 views after a couple of hours.
The topic in question cited a foreign fan’s “angry comment” related to the “Love Wins All” MV. In particular, the MV shows IU and V, who are lovers, meeting their end at the hands of an evil cube. As this cube bears strong resemblances to the tesseract in Marvel’s “The Avengers”, the aforementioned foreign fan uploaded an image of Loki holding the tesseract, along with the comment “this bitch”.
It seems that the foreign fan in question is jokingly blaming Loki for killing IU and V in “Love Wins All”.
Seeing this comment, Korean netizens can’t help but show a unanimous reaction of agreement. Some also pay attention to the Twitter handle of the foreign fan, “taessarect”, which sounds like a combination of V’s real name “Taehyung” and “tesseract”.
