“Island” released a powerful main trailer, Kim Nam Gil and Cha Eun Woo stand up against evil

The original TVing series “Island” (written by Oh Bo Hyun, directed by Bae Jong) released the main trailer on Dec 9th.

Island” is based on a cartoon and webtoon of the same name by Yoon In Wan and Yang Kyung Il, depicting the journey of characters who are destined to fight against evil.

The trailer released on Dec 9th is said to be interesting and thrilling. The opening was decorated by Ban (played by Kim Nam Gil) as he appears beyond time and space. The man then snatched the Geumgangjeo that was flying toward him.

Then, the old Tamra Island (the old name of Jeju) appeared. Geum Baek Ju (Ko Doo Sim) said, “The evil spirits of the world were caught and imprisoned in Tamra,” explaining why the evil spirits are roaming Tamra.

After that, their struggle against evil unfolded. Ban saved Won Mi Ho (Lee Da Hee) by overpowering the devil at once.

Priest John (played by Cha Eun Woo) implies that a savior would appear to prevent the destruction revealed in the prophets. He will protect Won Mi Ho by all means.

We could also see the hidden past of Ban and Won Mi Ho as they had a long-lasting relationship. Ban and Mi Ho’s sad and vague expressions drew attention.

The gray-haired Gungtan (played by Sung Joon) also made a strong impression. He greeted Ban, “Long time no see, my brother.” However, Ban did not hesitate to attack Gungtan.

The presence of the main actors is also outstanding. In particular, the main character Kim Nam Gil overwhelmed the screen with his dark charisma, while Cha Eun Woo’s visuals in priest clothes and determined expressions were also impressive.

The spectacular CG is also an important point to look out for as scenes from the manhwa and webtoon are recreated in the video. It harmonized with the actors’ real action scenes.

“Island” will be premiered on TVING on Dec 30th. The series will also be distributed to the global market through Amazon Prime Video.
