“I’m sorry…” SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo Left Tear-Jerking Letter for The Late Moonbin

Until April 30th, a memorial space for Moonbin has been set up at the Fantagio building located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and many fans and acquaintances of Moonbin have been visiting the space. Moonbin’s younger sister, Moon Sua, and his ASTRO members (Cha Eunwoo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha) have visited the memorial space.

SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo also visited the memorial space and left a handwritten letter. He wrote, “Bin-ah, you were the kindest and coolest in the world. When hyung was falling apart, you were the first one to come running, but I’m sorry that hyung didn’t even realize you were falling apart too.” 

He continued, “Your always affectionate and kind gestures, exercising with hyung, and comforting me are still vivid in my mind, and it hurts my heart. Nevertheless, I will live my life diligently for you too. I’ll have fun living with ASTRO friends so I can bring a lot of stories to talk to you. Tell me your stories too.” 

Wonwoo also said, “You saw hyung’s mother at her funeral, right? My mother will lead you well. Let go of your worries in the moon land and travel happily. I love you, Moonbin-ah. From Wonwoo hyung,” revealing his heartfelt feelings.

Wonwoo’s mother passed away in April last year. At the time, he stopped all his schedules and went down to his hometown of Changwon in Gyeongsangnam-do to attend the funeral. The SEVENTEEN members also stopped their official schedules and went to Changwon to pay their respects.

Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on April 19th at 8:10 p.m KST.

Moonbin, born in 1998, gained attention as “Little DBSK” when he appeared in the MV for DBSKi’s “Balloons” in 2006. He made his official debut in the entertainment industry as a child actor in KBS 2TV’s drama “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009. In 2016, he debuted as a member of the boy group ASTRO.

Moonbin’s funeral was held privately with only ASTRO members and family members attending on April 22nd.
